Femi Kuti Smashes World Record For The Longest Saxophone Played In A Single Note
Last night, on May 7, the son of the Nigerian music legend, Femi Kuti, broke the world record at New Africa Shrine, for the longest single note played on a saxophone in 1997 by Kenny G.
Femi, 54, who has already received congratulatory messages, reportedly broke Kenny G’s 45-minute record with his 46-minutes 38-seconds performance.
It was also understood that this was attended by a large audience, which included Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, the Deputy High Commissioners of the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Femi, confirmed the world record thanks to his Twitter account, while music fans joined with other Nigerians to congratulate him.
