Juliet Ibrahim Lashes Out At Celebs Who Mock Fellow Celebs Over Domestic Violence
Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim joined several others to speak out against domestic violence.
The actress and mother whose 4-year marriage with Kwadwo Safo Katanka ended in 2014 also blocked celebrities who mock their celebrities when mistreated at their wedding. She wrote;
“Our value as a woman has been taken for granted because of domestic violence, selfishness and male chauvinism.” Never joke about domestic violence Violence is never a choice that no one should do! ‘Why did not you go?'”
“A question we are all prompt to ask, but we should never be the judge until we hear the survivors of domestic violence explain why it’s ever so simple !!! 80% of women are living with violence in relationships around the world and are rapidly increasing; We must speak and lend our voice as much as possible to encourage these victims to speak early enough to avoid an unpleasant fate, to keep silent and to think that He / She will change is not the solution! Also;”
“When a firearm is present in a situation of domestic violence, it increases the risk of homicide among women by 500 per cent.”
“#woman of the cult is ashamed of any so-called celebrity who tweets and actually mocks by laughing at everything related to the well-being of another woman out there in the news … do not forget Karma Is a real bitch; Pay attention to what you want for others.”
“#sayNotodomesticviolence Thanks to God, there are authorities in place today to do the necessary and deal with these maniacs! Violence is not an excuse and should never be a choice, no matter what!“
