Nollywood Villain Actor Powers Boothe Dies At 68
Powers Boothe, the character actor known for his roles as villains in TV’s Deadwood, and in the films Tombstone, Sin City and The Avengers, is dead. He was 68 years old.
Hollywood actor, Powers Boothe, known for his roles in film and television, died at the age of 68.
Boothe’s spokesperson, Karen Samfilippo, issued the following statement to CBS:
“Unfortunately, the powers have died in his sleep this morning from natural causes, there will be a private service in Texas where he is native, and a commemorative celebration in his honor is planned for a later date. Be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, which honors the nation’s advocates, veterans, first responders, their families and those who need them.”
Boothe will be recalled for having participated in films like “Sin City” and television shows like “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” “24” and “Deadwood”.
He won an Emmy Award in 1980 for playing cult leader Jim Jones in the CBS television film “Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones.” Boothe crossed the picket during a strike of the actors that year to accept the award, reports TV Guide.
He survived his nearly 50-year-old wife, Pam, and their two children, added the TV Guide.
