” If I Release All The Tracks I Recorded, I Will Scatter The Whole Place ” – Olamide
The leader of YBNL, Olamide, came to say that he can never lack songs.
We will agree with the Orobo crooner who was consistent enough to launch an album each year from Rapsodi (2011) to YBNL (2012), Baddest Guy Ever Liveth (2013), Street OT (2014), 2 Kings with Phyno (2015) & Eyan Mayweather (2015), The Glory (2016).
However, in an interview with Sunday Scoop, Olamide says he laughs when he hears that people say he would lack music.
In his words; Every time people tell stories like that, I laugh. The talent comes from God and if you have it, then you have it. Even if I discuss with you, I can draw inspiration from a song and I will immediately observe it in my mind.
As long as life exists and things happen on earth, I will always have the inspiration to sing. Music is life and life is music. If I had to publish all the songs I had ever recorded, they would scatter the whole place. I work every day in the studio and there are a lot of songs I’ve recorded that I’m still out as singles or in albums.
The relevance remains essential in the industry and Baddo Sneh decided to share what keeps him more or less relevant;
More importantly, the grace of God that kept me. I do not do it by my power or my power. I also go with the flow and I keep my ears on the ground. I know the new clays that are spoken on the streets and sometimes I turn them into songs that resonate with people because they can identify with the content of the song.
Recently, Olamide revealed that the alternative singer, Adekunle Gold is no longer member of its YBNL label.
